Area Rug Cleaning
Area Rug's should never be cleaned in the home.
Cleaning rugs is far different then cleaning carpets. Some rugs are hand woven and some are machine made. There are several different types of fibers to consider, the construction of the backing or the type of weaving done. also to consider is the dye that was used, was it locked to prevent dye migration or will it need special chemicals to prevent migration and fading.
Lakeshore cleaning services specializes in cleaning area rugs of all fabrics from persian wool rugs to rugs made from synthetic fiber. We provide free pick up and delivery. You can be rest assured that your rugs are in good hands while at our rug cleaning shop and that the cleaning will be done correctly.
We clean rugs of many sizes in our cleaning shop.
Before we begin the cleaning process of your rugs we take the following steps to ensure that your rug cleaning is done professionally .
Pre - inspection: Looking for stains, tears, wear spots, animal problems and areas where colors have run from a previous cleaning.
-
Do a fiber test: Know what kind of material the rug is made of so we don't use a chemical that will cause damage to the rug.Do a dye test. We are going to want to test for colorfastness in order to clean the rug with the proper chemicals.
-
Always bring our findings to the attention of the rug owner prior to cleaning.
-
Vacuum the rug. We vacuum the rug first from the back to loosen any dirt that may be settled at the bottom of the fibers then from the top to remove the remaining loose dirt. Dry vacuuming removes close to 79% of the soil that has settled into the bottom of the carpet fibers.
-
Once we complete our tests we choose the correct cleaners and procedures for cleaning your rug.
- We are confident in our skills and training. We are never happy unless you are completely satisfied in our cleaning work.
